He got out of bed and stumbled toward the bathroom, trying not to wake Rembrandt. As he entered the bathroom, he noticed a piece of paper taped to the mirror. It was a note from Wade.
"Hey guys. Ran out to get us some breakfast and wash Quinn's clothes. Be back as soon as I can. Wade."
Quinn splashed some water on his face, trying to wake up. He unwrapped one of the complimentary toothbrushes the hotel provided, and found a small tube of toothpaste as well. That was one thing Quinn always liked about the Dominion--what it lacked in glitz, it made up for in small comforts. He missed things like that when they were landing in LA.
Quinn finished up in the bathroom and laid back down on the bed. He was deep in thought when he heard a slight thud at the door. Thinking it might be Wade, he got up and looked out the small peephole in the door. He saw a woman in the hall tossing complimentary newspapers in front of each door. He waited until she was gone, then opened the door slightly. He quickly snaked his arm around the door and grabbed for the paper. He was successful on his first attempt, and he closed the door. As he did so, he noticed Wade had hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. He was glad she'd remembered--he was wondering what they'd do when housekeeping showed up.
The sound of the door closing woke Rembrandt. He stretched and rubbed his eyes.
"Where's Wade?" he asked, looking around and noticing that the two men were alone in the room.
"Uh..she went out. Getting breakfast and washing my clothes," Quinn said absently, scanning the newspaper. "Hey, take look at this." He tossed the newspaper onto the cot. "Guess we're still wanted here--the story talks about how BRP security measures have been beefed up since our escape." He glanced worriedly at the door. "Wade needs to hurry up. I think the less time in public, the better."
"I'm with you all the way, " Rembrandt responded, browsing the front page. "But it has been a while since we've been here. No one probably remembers what Wade looks like.....oh great, " Rembrandt sighed as he opened the paper. "So much for that plan!"
As Quinn turned to look at him, Rembrandt folded back the paper and held up the second page. The story regarding BRP's new security was continued there. Quinn could clearly see the 6 photos underneath the story: himself, Rembrandt, Arturo, David, Diana.....and Wade.
Quinn rolled his eyes and let out a defeated sigh. He crossed the room, and looked anxiously out the peephole in the door.
"Come on Wade...where the hell are you?"
